i like the shadows on the face - really, i wouldve liked to see just the face with a black background, i think its the most interesting part.. whats there now is just, distracting

Nice shot. I like the lighting. I like the background the way it is too. It may be distracting but, I think it would be too boring if the background was something else.

as everyone else has said i enjoy the lighting..is it a mirror and the flash that creates that?? very nice image!!

thanks for your apreciation.
There is no mirror involved. I set up the light and positioned myself and had a friend hit the button.
I don't use flashes, only constant lights.
